'Danger God'

Danger God (aka Love and Other Stunts) follows B-movie legend Gary Kent's career through the independent film surge in the Sixties working on movies directed by Al Adamson, Ray Dennis Steckler, Monte Hellman, Don Jones and Richard Rush. The doc continues to the modern day via the release of Kent's memoir and on through his book tour. Through modern and archival footage we meet his stunt pals Chuck Bail, John 'Bud' Cardos, Don Jones and Bob Ivy. Gary falls in love with a dancer who becomes his life partner, co-star and film producer. They face challenges including alcoholism and cancer. Through it all, Gary Kent approaches life with resolve and optimism.

First-time director/producer Joe O'Connell previously was a film industry columnist for the Dallas Morning News, Austin Chronicle and Austin American-Statesman and has contributed to Variety and Texas Monthly. He is the author of the award-winning novel-in-stories Evacuation Plan and a college writing professor.
